The glamour effect

These last few months in New York are going to be the most difficult. It almost seems as if my patience is being tested. I'm not to big on patience, but I've definitely made some progress through the years. I have to keep reminding myself to relax and breath and not kill anyone haha. But, back to why we all are here: these earrings and this lipstick. The earrings are Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian and the lipstick is Revlon Fuchsia Fusion, gifted a la Revlon Run/Walk for Women's cancers. I'm a big believer of earrings and follow the moto: the bigger the better. I had no idea Ms. Kardashian had a jewelry line up until I spotted some hoops via Polyvore (purchased those too). Also in my last and only wish list I featured a bangle from her line. Super cute and all affordable. I just want to own everything from the line!. I'm not too big on lipstick, I'm more of a chap stick kinda girl but I'm all for trying new things. Fashion is all about taking risks and I just hate to be put in a box. Especially since I feel like style is something that evolves hourly, daily, weekly etc.

Forgotten Treasure

Currently missing my ratty old boots :( I wore them to the ground, literally and have yet to find a just as awesome replacement. As for these high waist trousers...a D.I.Y is spewing, stay tuned.

The amount of sunflower seed shells in here was surreal. I thought that baseball players only ate sunflower seeds on the big screen! I've been taking in as much sun as possible, all the while loading on SPF. I actually use SPF in the winter as well. Mainly because I'm not a big fan of lotion and sunblock reminds me of the beach, and one needs reminders of the beach when enduring a NY winter. There's one brand in particular, I can't remember the name, but it's a spray on and it leaves me with a shine (so I end up looking like a greased up goddess).

I'm anticipating visiting the beach next week (I've been collecting bathing suits throughout the winter). Planning Jonas birthday party last minute is more fun than stressful. I'm so excited I can't wait to see the look on his face!

Naked & Over-Exposed

I felt naked and overexposed today. Neither good nor bad and probably not in the sense that your thinking. It is summer and I do tend to show plenty of skin in warmer climates but that's not what I meant by naked and overexposed. Naked as in free from makeup and accessories, overexposed referring to what happens when I allow Picasa to do the "editing" with a simple click. No do overs. Nothing about me is perfect and from time to time I may post pictures that may not show me at my best, but I am having fun nonetheless and perfect is dull and boring.

Georgia Rule

This about sums up my trip to Georgia, minus me missing the train leaving Speonk, pulling an all nighter at the airport and having an adventure in White Plains with a very handsome gentleman ;)

Not So Basic Neutrals

Apologies for lack of post. Between being car less, moving to Westhampton at the firm, planning Jonas 3rd birthday party, making travel arrangements to Georgia and scheduling doctor appointments I haven't been able to update as often. I'm traveling to Georgia this weekend so I'll be able to rest and relax even though it's a business trip! Oh course I'm going to take care of business first but I can't lie, I am too excited about having three days off and seeing my old friends. I'm also excited about taking pictures in southern territory :)
