Rainy season has begun and I can't really complain because the temperature has been in the fifties these past few days. Which feels like pre-summer when you've experienced THE WORST WINTER OF MY EXISTENCE. On a happier note, I've been limiting myself to wearing more pieces I purchased last year; those I've been neglecting. I would like to better utilize my impulse purchased items so I feel like less of an asshole for compulsively buying everything that's on sale. You know a sale is hard to resist. In addition, looking good in absolutely everything and the perfect dim lighting in those fitting rooms does wonders for the self esteem and horrors for your savings. With my newfound career path which is a little much to explain but I will say stems from backgrounds in finance (oh the irony). I have taken the initiative of becoming more financially responsible, as a twenty four year old should. Hopefully in three months I can see the progress and share!!

Wearing this Club Monaco cashmere scarf with everything and rightfully so with this ever-changing weather. Just when I thought the weather was taking a turn for good we got a blizzard. In fact, this winter it has snowed more than any winter I've endured since moving back to NY in 2009! Or maybe that's just because I've been in Albany and it snows here every other day.

The glamour effect

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

These last few months in New York are going to be the most difficult. It almost seems as if my patience is being tested. I'm not to big on patience, but I've definitely made some progress through the years. I have to keep reminding myself to relax and breath and not kill anyone haha. But, back to why we all are here: these earrings and this lipstick. The earrings are Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian and the lipstick is Revlon Fuchsia Fusion, gifted a la Revlon Run/Walk for Women's cancers. I'm a big believer of earrings and follow the moto: the bigger the better. I had no idea Ms. Kardashian had a jewelry line up until I spotted some hoops via Polyvore (purchased those too). Also in my last and only wish list I featured a bangle from her line. Super cute and all affordable. I just want to own everything from the line!. I'm not too big on lipstick, I'm more of a chap stick kinda girl but I'm all for trying new things. Fashion is all about taking risks and I just hate to be put in a box. Especially since I feel like style is something that evolves hourly, daily, weekly etc.

(AA Croped Turtleneck Sweater, F21 Leather pants, Nine West Pumps)
Hello friends! And by friends I mean all of you that been supportive, encouraging and giving me positive and negative criticism. It means a lot to me. Blogging has been on my to-do list for a little over a year and I’m just getting this baby up and running. My time management skills can use some improvement, but hey I’m doing the best I can.

Forever 21’s clearance section blessed me with these pants. I wont even gloat about how ridiculously cheap they were. I will say that I was indecisive and they sat around unworn for two winters. I was considering selling them but I figured I try them on one last time. After about an hour of wearing them, they either stretched out or I lost weight because they felt all kinds of awesome. Made me sweat, but still were very awesome.

Spring is technically here, despite the fact it’s going to snow this week. I’m looking forward to wearing brighter colors and incorporating my nude Nine West pumps into my spring wardrobe, so stay tune. Also, I know I’m rambling, I’ve been shopping like a maniac so I’m going to attempt my first shopping haul video (squeal).

(On the way we found a furniture store named after moi!)
(Cynthia Rowley Fur Vest, Heritage High Waist Flares)

Last month I won concert tickets on the radio to see a Journey cover band concert Separate Ways along with a fifty dollar gift certificate at Kodiak's Bar & Restaurant. Who better to join me besides my two life partners Lindsay and Maria? Oh my the food was delicious and we got free beers, ha! We had so much fun giggling and carrying on like idiots.
