THE VAGUE CALLING

In a corner

(AA top & bottom, Mossimo boots, Asos Earrings)
In the morning, after my alarm goes off, I lay in bed imagining what I’m going to wear. Thinking to

myself that I’m saving time by doing this (when in fact, I'm just being lazy)…Calculating exactly where

I last seen those trousers, how long it’s going to take to iron my shirt, which belt is going to match

better with my boots, where the hell are those boots? etc, am I the only one who does this?

Wrinkled Sweaters & Fussy Fly-Aways

(American Apparel Sweater & shorts, Dolcetta Harness Boots, Asos Earrings)
I’m too cool to iron my sweater huh? No, not at all, I’m just always in a rush, leaving one job on the way to the next, sacrificing good hair days for more sleep and throwing together unethical articles of clothing and getting away with it.

I must say, I like the inconsistency of style going on here.

Downtown on Sundays

Sunday, March 27, 2011

A nice day spent downtown. Just my luck that I would end up down town during Greek Independence Day. I’m kicking myself now because I didn’t get any pictures of the floats and costumes. In my deffense, I had an appointment at Completely Bare; parking was a nightmare as always, so I was running late, as always. (Completely Bare specializes in waxing and laser hair removal. I would highly recommend them, their staff is friendly and helpful and they have really great services!)

(AA Croped Turtleneck Sweater, F21 Leather pants, Nine West Pumps)
Hello friends! And by friends I mean all of you that been supportive, encouraging and giving me positive and negative criticism. It means a lot to me. Blogging has been on my to-do list for a little over a year and I’m just getting this baby up and running. My time management skills can use some improvement, but hey I’m doing the best I can.

Forever 21’s clearance section blessed me with these pants. I wont even gloat about how ridiculously cheap they were. I will say that I was indecisive and they sat around unworn for two winters. I was considering selling them but I figured I try them on one last time. After about an hour of wearing them, they either stretched out or I lost weight because they felt all kinds of awesome. Made me sweat, but still were very awesome.

Spring is technically here, despite the fact it’s going to snow this week. I’m looking forward to wearing brighter colors and incorporating my nude Nine West pumps into my spring wardrobe, so stay tune. Also, I know I’m rambling, I’ve been shopping like a maniac so I’m going to attempt my first shopping haul video (squeal).

Grindin'

We're all designed differently and this is the way I'm designed. Fat cheeks, small lips and big eyes. Embrace those traits that separate you from the rest!

Dessert? or Disaster?

(H&M Sheer Blouse, American Apparel Side Zip Pants & Scarf)

Excuse my hair, I've been super lazy about doing it lately, especially since I figured out how I want it cut. That's something I'm very ecstatic about. I'm always coloring and cutting it. About two years ago I cut my hair into a Mohawk and I kinda just let it grow out all weird and it looked really good. Since my hair is super thick it took me years to figure out how to manage it. Personally I prefer shorter hair, so stay tuned for my new cut!!

Turban Love

Wednesday, March 02, 2011

(Ecote Blouse, Dollhouse Boots, AA Twist Scarf worn as Turban)
I wanted to try out the whole turban trend, but I couldn't convince myself to actually buy one (God knows I don't need to add to the many unworn fabulous possessions I own). Luckily for me I was able to transform my American Apparel twist scarf into a turban. I like the way it came out! Experimenting actually enabled me to get more wear out of this headband. I wonder what else I can do with it. My mom thinks I look super eighties and Shakeem says I look like Tupac, hence the title Thug Turban Love.
