Just test driving this military inspired hat I bought from Target about a year ago, and of course I'm just getting around to finally wearing it. A bad hair day will do that to ya! Also dipping in my boyfriends closet again - stole his coat this time :/ I can't help but love how feather light the actual coat is and the fact that it is ridiculously warm; I mean it makes me hot!! Hence the open jacket…you thought I was trying to make a fashion statement didn't you?

I love menswear, most of my pieces are unisex, which is why the bf and I keep dipping into each others closets. Okay I'm talking about him when I should be swooning over Nars Jungle Red matte lipstick. I've been collecting different variations and brands of red lipsticks. Jungle Red gives me a red that is bright, matte and attracts a ton of attention. I can't say it's a favorite because I love my little collection, which include shades by MAC and Rimmel London. I plan on sharing all those with actual swatches! And by swatches I mean I'm going to actually put them on my lips and not on my arms :)

Looks good…with trouble

I have been listening to Solange's album True and the song, Looks good with trouble, is in my top five favorites. It was already in my head that I would name a post after it and upon seeing this sign I put my plan in motion. The plan entailed me giving the camera some of my sultriest faces…

I have come to the conclusion that it will never look the way it does when I do it in the mirror. Some girls ooze sex appeal while others do not. I think I ooze an innocence, hence trying to come off sexy is going to translate into me being robbed of that innocence. I hope I'm painting the correct picture for you guys. In my defense having a boyfriend/photographer who refuses to give you any instruction on how to translate bedroom eyes…outside the er…bedroom, makes everything that much more difficult. In fact the third picture from the top displays how I feel about his non-cooperation. That would be my sarcastic "do you seriously not care about bringing this vision to life?" face. If I intend on keeping my protege photographer I must compromise *sighs*. And if you're wondering how one pulls off making a sarcastic face let alone a sexy face in New York's frigid cold-these were taken a while back.

(Calvin Klein dress, BCBG shoes, Loft earrings)

Snapped these pics while celebrating for my twenty-fourth birthday; which was in November! I don't know why I'm finally posting them - well I know why, because I kind of forgot about them. This dress, believe it or not, was a piece my mother let me borrow. A dress she has probably owned for over two years, was not planning to wear; compulsive pointless shopping behavior is hereditary you see..

She's never getting this dress back, it's plunging neckline is totally inappropriate for her; it was a bit risque for me! Translation: the boyfriend kept saying "you're annoying" which means "you look really good" ha ha. Allegedly my "ability to find the silly in the serious will take me far". Now I don't think that means I have a future as a stand up comedian, but those that enjoy my humor absolutely love me for having the ability to make them laugh to tears, challenge them with wit and make animals sounds during awkward silences.

Integrity is everything because what else does one have besides their word? With that said I listed some practical New Years resolutions I'd like to stick to this year, in no particular order.

~Keep a consistent flow going with my blog post and stick to updating on a schedule.

~Get more sleep and drink more water.

~Practice meditating and invest time into doing yoga.

~Get a membership at my local gym and commit to going at least once a week.

~Spend more time with my grandparents :) I am blessed to have two living grandparents and I realized that when you reach their age you become lonely from time to time. So I vow to visit them more often.

~Executing and completing all my D.I.Y projects. I have millions of ideas swimming through my head and even more past due projects I left undone in 2012 that I am excited to share.

~Cook a (vegetarian) dinner for a few of my closest friends! My friends are awesome and have been very supportive of TJD and I think throwing down in the kitchen, serenading them with wine and playing music would be wildly romantic.

~Give to the less fortunate. I plan to not only run at least three marathons this year, but to serve food at the local soup kitchens, give away more unused clothing, donate blood and volunteer at a childrens hospital.

~Take better care of my shoes because in return they'll take better care of me.

~Be nicer and show my boyfriend more appreciation.

~Learn French (aka eat a macaroon)

~Quit eating meat and all dairy…except organic cheese…if such a thing exists.

~Become more tech savy. And by savy I mean almost perfecting simple HTML, CSS and Javascript.

~Find a career that is cohesive to my lifestyle and growth.

~Set short term objectives that'll take some of the weight off of long term goals.

~Be more financially responsible; be more responsible in general. Managing my money like an adult and calling my mother back when I say I am going to.

~Try to be a little less cynical (some people just don't get sarcasm)
